Our Coffee

We're Patrick and Gabrielle, two skaters from New Jersey who turned a love of coffee into a roastery in Sarasota. We source organic, single-origin coffee from small family farms and roast every batch ourselves on an all-electric roaster.

How we got here

A skateboard, a cup of coffee, and a long road to Sarasota.

It started in New Jersey. Every date we went on looked the same: skate the town, then find a good cup of coffee. That skateboard is still in our logo today.

Our dream was to move to California and open a small coffee shop. We closed on a house in Temecula the same day the pandemic shut everything down. So we bought a conversion van and drove the country, coast to coast, eight different times.

When the world stayed on pause, we sold the house and headed for the Gulf Coast, where Gabrielle's family had settled in Sarasota. The last space we looked at was an old dog groomer with a caving ceiling. We saw our vision anyway and said, "We'll take it."

We renovated it ourselves. Patrick handled the plumbing, electrical and HVAC, Gabrielle painted and designed the interior, and her dad installed the countertops. Coast To Coast Coffee opened its doors in March 2022.

That little shop taught us everything, and as our community grew, so did we. We've since moved into our new home in Gulf Gate, with more room to roast, brew and share good coffee with Sarasota. Same skaters, same love of coffee, just a bigger spot.

Every coffee we offer is organic and single origin, grown by small family farms who care for their land and their harvest. Single origin means each bag comes from one place, so you taste exactly where your coffee was grown, nothing blended away.

That's why our coffees are named for the countries they come from: Ethiopia, Colombia, Sumatra, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and more. From light to dark, each roast is chosen to bring out what makes that farm's coffee special.
